How fast can Hydra engrave?

How fast can Hydra cut?

This will depend on the model, the glass tube's wattage, and how thick the material is.

For example, if you are cutting ⅛” acrylic on the Hydra 9, you can cut this with the glass tube going about 25 mm/s, but with the Hydra 16, you will be able to cut it going 35 mm/s or faster.

Can I engrave on metal with Hydra?

You cannot engrave directly on plain, untreated metal with Hydra now. However, you can engrave on painted, anodized, or coated metals. The coating or surface treatment allows the laser to effectively mark the metal underneath, making it suitable for detailed laser engraving projects.

Can I engrave cups with Hydra?

Absolutely! The Hydra laser model comes with a connection point for a rotary attachment. Ensure the rotary device utilizes a 4-pin aviation-style plug to effortlessly engrave cylindrical objects such as cups.

Can I plug Hydra into a regular outlet?

Can Hydra fit through a regular door?

It might not fit in its assembled state, but the Hydra machine’s modular design allows you to easily disassemble any side as needed, making it simple to fit through a standard door. The entire machine consists of three layers, totaling 40.75″ in height: The top and middle layers combined measure 31.50″. The bottom layer measures 9.25″.

Glass tube is a game changer

Finally got to use my glass tube (100w) in my Hydra 9 today! Man what a difference it makes when cutting! So much faster and reliable to cut! Really stoked on my purchase with this machine

One area could use more padding

Alright so the laser is unboxed. No visible damage. It is packaged pretty well. The only suggestion I have for future orders is to pad the void as well…where my fingers are in the picture and also the door edge…the copper colored part. As I said mine looks great but this area I could see causing problems in shipping for some orders and it’s very easy to pad that area. Hope this helps.
